I was lucky enough to recently brunch @ White Mojo, which may well be the most aesthetically pleasing cafe in Melbourne. And that is not an award that can be given out lightly…
They don’t only have marble tables, but the marble is arranged in a hexagonal print. The latte art extends to swans. The inside of the waiter’s aprons are covered in colourful prints. The Eton Mess is a work of art, placed delicately around one edge of the plate. And no, I don’t know where the rest of it is.
This cafe is confused as to whether it’s producing food or art, but if you’re like me and don’t really mind, then it’s definitely of interest to you. And the best part is that no one blinks an eyelid when you spend 10 minutes taking photos of the food that is almost, ALMOST, too pretty to eat. Turns out matcha lattes aren’t so nice cold though.
If you’re someone who hates small portions however, I would advise perhaps ordering 2 meals, so together they (almost) fill one plate. If you like things to take pretty pictures of, and don’t mind too much if your food gets cold, then this is your place.
