An overload of cheesy goodness is pretty much the best way to describe how I spent my Saturday afternoon…
The launch of Mother Dough, an Italian pizza and pasta bar in Hawthorn, involved a lot of melted cheese, a lot of thin w/ puffy crust pizza bases (the only kind, let’s be honest) & a lot of very overly-enthusiastic bloggers. Let’s just say that one of the artichokes from our antipasto board now lives in a gutter down the road from the restaurant. Yes, down the road.
After we finally managed to retrieve our antipasto board from the little walk it went on down the street (was the lighting inside seriously that bad guys???), I engulfed a large excess of delicious Italian goods and then proceeded to feel extremely full for the rest of the night. Anything with Gorgonzola has my heart, and for people who think blue cheese is gross, well… You’re wrong.
