My style seems to have reached an interesting point in its lifetime where it’s at an all time high of extremes – either completely ridiculously OTT (we are talking double or even triple pompoms, yes triple) or completely minimalistic AKA zero colour. My ability to attain practicality however is at an all time low.
The latest example of my two extremes was how I styled two new shirts I got from Ozsale – a brightly printed Josh Goot shirt dress VS a white Ambigante shirt with leather collar detail.
I actually wore this brightly printed Josh Goot shirt dress and heeled boots while babysitting, which involved taking the children to a movie. In hindsight, it was probably not the best outfit for trying to control three young children in a huge shopping centre or dodging a number of very dangerous non-Josh Goot approved items, such as rapidly melting choc tops / popcorn that (after being screaming for) was apparently no longer wanted / lemonades that little bit too full that when you hold the cup it starts to overflow.
I wore the second outfit for what I thought was the right event, but turned out to be equally inappropriate. While my new Ambigante shirt managed to solve the issue of the rather hole-y ‘jumper’ I own, the skirt I chose was not the best for a windy day. Blocking the holes in the jumper managed to stop the wind entering my clothing from one direction but unfortunately the wind took this opportunity to blow up my skirt instead, resulting in a very cold backside that perhaps a few people saw a little more of than I would have liked them to.
