Word on the street has it that Street Talk Espresso may possibly serve the most beautifully presented food in Melbourne. Big call right? Well this cafe gives meaning to the concept of food being art and does not muck around.
If you want an adventure at brunch, then this is your place. Every meal is carefully constructed to make you hate life – yes, you hate life because the meal is SO beautiful you don’t want to ruin it, but at the same time you’re DYING to eat it because it looks so delicious. I’m just kidding, it was only a little bit distressing to actually EAT the food after spending hours taking photos of it (to ensure it was stone cold by the time we ate of course :””( ). Once we were finally able to bring ourselves to eat the marvelous creations, they were everything we’d ever wished for and more. I’ll definitely be back to try all the dishes actually hot.
Be sure to check out the French toast made with Challah – Challah is pretty much bread but even more delicious. It’s pretty much impossible to stop eating it once you start. For haloumi lovers (AKA everyone, or please re-evaluate your life), the pumpkin bruschetta has these huge lumps of haloumi sitting on top and it’s wonderful.
