For those of you who know me personally, and those who don’t, you can probably guess that if I ever found myself wearing the same thing as someone else I would not be very happy. And when I say not very happy, I mean I would go home, cry for 3 hours and burn the item. So how to avoid this catastrophe? One-off, handmade pieces ought to do it.

My friend Maria Decker has just launched her online store Greedy Lui, selling one-off handmade pieces. She’s from Berlin which pretty much makes her my life idol and I secretly want to be her. She made me this incredible sparkly top, so getting to wear this is the next best thing I suppose. Of course, I would most likely get evicted from Berlin for wearing sparkly pink and burning holes in their can-look-at-black-ONLY eye sockets, so it’s probably best for everyone that I live in Melbourne – although Melbournians are almost as notoriously good at wearing only black.

This amazing piece is everything I want in life – pink, sparkly and a little bit risqué / risky. I like to take risks with fashion (as I’m sure you can tell), and this sparkly backless design really embodies that. It’s also backless, – you can’t wear a bra and there’s a tiny chance that my boobs may in fact fall out. As long as they don’t though, this top is as classy risqué as they come.
